Over the last two and a half years we've been looking at what we do well, what we need to improve on and what we think you'd like us to add.

We have now opened the first of two main projects...

A high-end takeaway sandwich and coffee bar. Stocking a wide range of takeaway sandwiches with a large selection of locally-sourced breads and tasty fillings. Homemade cakes, organic coffee and fancy snacks too. All done in the Stray's ethos - quality is not just the main thing - it's everything...

Live jazz with wine, food and of course, coffee.

Our second project, Jazz Caffeine » has been put on hold for a few months to allow us to work on a short project for creating more downstairs seating:

At present we have 66 seats and are at full capacity for most of each day. This means we can't always get people in and we really hate turning you away!

So we've just secured the purchase of 15 Boar Lane which we hope to convert into another 30+ seats, off the current bookshop/coffee bar link. The proposed plans are curently being reviewed by the relevant authorities. More as we get it.
