success is not neccessarily achieved by being the best at everything - rather by having a team of people who are each the best in their respective fields...

Today we realised that their had been an error in our stock ordering and without going into the technical reasons behind this, the long-and-short of it is that we would run out of coffee beans by the middle of Saturday. After my initial annoyance, a small panic set in and based on previous suppliers inability to help, I started to think of ways that we could get around the situation.

Now, this may sound obvious but i decided to ring our current supplier and see whether they had any ideas. Bear in mind that we normally order on a Tuesday for a roast on Tuesday afternoon and today is Thursday. Steve at Stokes said he'd see whether they could fit a roast in for us immediately and it has just been delivered!

So, in light of our support for the 'Make Local Food Work' campaign, it seems fitting to sing the praises of a great local supplier - Stokes of Lincoln. Thanks guys, for your optimism and professionalism!
